Fact: We don't play poker. I'm even inclined to believe that poker and any form of gambling is the highest manifestation of advanced capitalism. Matt and I started Poker Face so we could put out records for bands we really like in a way that puts the interests of the band miles ahead of our own.

We do not make money by putting out records.

The only thing we hate more than money is someone who makes money on punk rock. As Mr. MacKaye so eloquently put it, "Money has nothing to do with the value of life, but that's just common sense!" So I guess fun would be our number one priority, because as any who has ever put out a record knows, it isn't stressful and it certainly doesn't require any work at all. Right? Who am I kidding, records aren't fun, but they sure do bring a tangible feeling of satisfaction that can only come from knowing you were responsible in helping to create something.

In other words, you should all be listening to Embrace right now.
